Summer in the UK

Last week I presented two looks in anticipation of my trip to Spain. I continue to daydream about vacations to Europe with this arrangement inspired by the United Kingdom. Some of my friends will spend the summer in the country of rock, tea, monarchy and beautiful accents. I thought of them while creating this set.

First, throw in a pretty feminine dress and a Victorian-inspired necklace. Let’s not forget the trench coat, scarf and sunglasses to cope with the changing temperature of the UK. The tote bag is essential when one travels, to accommodate your camera, map, umbrella and other items.

The name of the scarf is “Edinburgh”. What a coincidence!

Barcelona or Madrid?

Apr
2011

I’m going on a trip to Spain this summer and I have put together two outfits for the occasion.

The first would be worn in Barcelona, a city that’s young, laid back and culturally vibrant. This look in pastel colors is perfect for a walk on the beach or in Park Güell.

For the second outfit, I was inspired by the Spanish capital. Madrid is a city where everything moves very quickly and it is as alive by night as it is by day. The people of Madrid love to party! The vibrant-colored accessories won’t go unnoticed.

The 29th International Festival of Films on Art (FIFA) began Thursday in Montreal. For nearly three decades, the festival has featured documentaries on subjects as diverse as: movies, music, graffiti, dance, literature, architecture and comics. The art of FIFA is not elitist, it is unifying. Until March 27, 227 films from 22 countries will be presented in nine venues in Montreal. Here is my selection of 10 movies not to be missed.
