Journals – What’s Not To Love?

Beyond being a creative way of tackling back to school (which scarily is right around the bend), journals are ultimate stress relievers and great record keepsakes for groundbreaking revelations!

I have had journals and diaries since I could write, and whenever I was worried, stressed, in a rut, or completely smitten with a crush it would all get jotted down in at least on of my little hidden books.

Not convinced?

Some of the world’s most influential people keep journals and recounts of their ideas, inspirations and learnings… Matisse, Madonna, Earnest Hemmingway, Socrates, Van Gogh and Benjamin Franklin (to name only a few)!  You should try writing (or blogging) on for size – you may just become as addicted as I ;) .

Have a beautiful start to the week lovelies!

Oscars Madness!

08
Mar
2010

Yesterday was the Oscars 82nd edition. But what we, women, crave most, of course, is to see how beautiful those gowns were on the biggest actresses in Hollywood history! Let’s see…

The classy Mermaid

The best actress winner was wearing a beautiful dress by Marchesa. Look at the detais of the dress: the swirls and the flowers that make her look like a mermaid! With her hair down and red lips, Sandra Bullocks really looked classy just by being simple.

How to wear it purple

Zoe Saldana went all purple in Givenchy. I would say “no no” to that dress, only because the bottom of the dress ruined it all. Makes me think of an octopus… However, the colors fit her skin tone, the bustier is beau à croquer,  and her makeup is marvelous. Beautiful Charlize Theron wore the purple perfectly at the Oscars, in Christian Dior. Although the details on her chest look a little bit kinky, I find that her body shape tones the kinkiness down. Love it!

A Simple Colour and Sparkles does it all!

The beautiful Carrie Mulligan decided to go with diamonds and black with her Prada gown.  I love her haircut, it makes her look so cute and classy at the same time. Showing some legs in the Oscars seems to be such a bad idea, but hey, Carrie is showing is and it’s fab! Cameron Diaz looked stunning in Oscar de la Renta dress. I personally think that tube gowns are

Couleur Pastel

Diane Kruger is dressed in Chanel Haute Couture. Again, the nude takes power this season, and of course, we recognize Chanel’s trademark with the pastel and black combination. Below, young Miley Cyrus in Jenny Packham, looking more stunning than her usual rock and roll style. Do you remember how her dress was last year?

We all thought that Avatar would win the most trophies, but I guess The Hurt Locker wasn’t bad after all… Congratulations to all the nominees! And congratulations to Sandra Bullock, 2010′s Best Actress!
